Many overseas students speak and write English quite well at the time of their application but do not quite have the high level of English Language proficiency required for a bachelors or masters degree programme and so are unable to pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at the required level, which is B2 (eg IELTS 5.5) to obtain a student visa for a degree level course. Nevertheless they are keen to commence their studies at the College and so need to enrol on a pre-sessional English course combined with their main degree programme.
This course is specifically designed to raise a student's English Language proficiency from B1 level eg IELTS 4.0) to B2 level (eg IELTS 5.5) in the full range of skills needed to pass a SELT at the required level and satisfy the.
